De Bruyne’s brace inspires Manchester City to 4-2 win over Crystal Palace

Kevin de Bruyne’s brace propelled Manchester City to a commanding 4-2 victory over Crystal Palace on Saturday, drawing them level on points with Liverpool at the summit of the Premier League table.

Despite conceding an early goal to Palace’s Jean-Philippe Mateta, De Bruyne quickly responded with a stunning strike to equalize. Second-half goals from Rico Lewis and Erling Haaland extended City’s lead before De Bruyne sealed his brace with another impressive finish. Although Odsonne Edouard managed a late consolation goal for Palace, City’s victory sees them tied with Liverpool on 70 points, with Arsenal trailing by two points with a game in hand.

Mateta’s early opener surprised City fans, but De Bruyne’s clinical finish in the 13th minute restored parity and set the stage for City’s dominant display.
