Oyo, Osun path ways on LAUTECH

Decades of misgivings on the  Ladoke Akintola University as been laid to rest as the owners – Osun and Oyo states have now agreed to part ways.

The truce was brokered by the National Universities Commission, NUC aa disclosed by its Executive Secretary , Prof Abubakar Rasheed at a press briefing in Abuja on Friday.

He said  LAUTECH’s ownership has been transferred to the government of Oyo State while the College of Health’s ownership has been transferred to the government of Osun State.

“It is gratifying to note that after extensive deliberations, negotiations and consultations, both owner states mutually agreed terms and the joint ownership of LAUTECH was formally dissolved”, he explained.

Before the separation, the joint ownership of the school has always been an issue between the two states
