Ohaneze places $50,000 prize on Simon Ekpa

Simon Ekpa, a self-styled disciple of detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has been declared wanted as a master-mind of the sit-at-home order in the Southeast geopolitical zone.

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide in a statement by its Secretary-General, Okechukwu Isiguzoro also called on the people in the region to ignore the order even as it placed a $50,000 bounty on the Finland-based Ekpa.

The statement described Ekpa as the number one enemy of the Igbo nation, saying the sit-at-home order should be jettisoned.

Ohanaeze urged Southeast governors to declare Monday and Tuesday public holidays to allow people of the Southeast to get their Permanent Voters Cards, PVCs.

Isiguzoro urged the Southeast governors to emulate the wisdom of the Abia State Government to declare public holidays on the same days for the people to go out and get their PVCs before the deadline on 29th of January 2023.

“Ndigbo has placed a bounty reward of $50, 000 for anyone who has useful information on how Simon Ekpa will be apprehended for his extradition and prosecution in Nigeria, to answer the law of land over his criminalities, incitement of violent killings, and, burning of public properties in the name of self-determination,” the statement added.

Ohanaeze urged Igbos residents in Finland to report Ekpa to INTERPOL to aid his arrest.
