The Federal Government has placed travel restrictions on ministers and other top government officials.
Minister of Information Culture and Tourism, Lai Mohammed said in Abuja that ministers can only travel out of the country eight times in a year which pegs foreign travels to a maximum of two in a month.
Mohammed added that President Muhammadu Buhari has also directed that henceforth no minister can travel with more than four aides who should be relevant to the trip.
He said government officials below the rank of ministers are henceforth entitled to fewer aids, adding that estacode would no longer be calculated on hourly basis.
Similarly, President Buhari also met behind closed doors with service chiefs at the Presidential Villa today.
Discussions at the meeting are expected to dwell on the review of the security situation in the country.
