FG assures commuters on safety of Lagos bridge

The Federal Government has assured commuters on the safety of the Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos.

It has also dismissed the rumors that the recently upgraded portions of the bridge in has “opened up” and was “shaking”.

The Federal Controller of Works in Lagos State, Engr. Olukayode Popoola in a statement described as “false and unfounded” claims on social media that the bridge is falling.

Giving an on-the-spot report on the bridge, Popoola, who said he just drove along the Bridge without noticing any opening or experiencing any shaking as contained in the social media report, advised members of the public, especially commuters, to ignore the insinuations, and assured that the bridge is receiving regular attention along with others across the country.
