Buhari releases 70,000 tons food for the poor

President Muhammadu Buhari has released 70,000 metric tonnes of grains from the National  Strategic Reserve as part of palliative to minimise the effect of the lockdown in three locations.

Boss Mustapha, chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 disclosed today that the first tranche of 6000 metric tonnes of the foods will be distributed in Lagos, Ogun and the FCT while the remaining will got to the front line states.

Mustapha said government  has approved limited operations for companies in the oil and gas exploration to minimise disruption in the supply chain.

He disclosed that the task force has developed an implemented guide and protocols for the Covid-19 lockdown policy.
