Africa shines at FIFA U-17 World cup

Nigeria,
Senegal and Angola  have defeated their opponents at the ongoing 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Brazil
sending a warning to other contestants of their determination to win the title
for Africa.

Senegal
defeated the highly rated USA in their opening Group D clash on Sunday.

With
a handsome 4-1 victory to follow up on victories for Nigeria and Angola in
their opening games on Saturday.

Five-time
world champions Nigeria swept past Hungary 4-2 in the opening match.

Assistant
coach of Nigeria’s U17 national team, Nduka Ugbade said after the match that
the Golden Eaglets are ready for more battle after opening their FIFA U-17
world cup campaign with a 4-2 win over Hungary.

‘’The
coaches are working to see that the team is clearly motivated for further
victories in the competition.’’

The
fourth African side in the competition, Cameroon, will get their campaign under
way today when they take on minnows, Tajikistan and would be seeking to make it
a clean sweep of victories for teams from Africa.

Nigeria
will go up against Ecuador today at the same venue and according to Coach
Ugbade, victory is certain to take the Eaglets to Round 16, ahead of their
final Group B encounter with Australia.
