President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially appointed Jami’u Abiola as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Linguistics and Foreign Matters.
A statement issued by Segun Imohiosen Director of Information & Public Relations, on behalf of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, confirmed that the appointment aligns with the provisions of the Certain Political and Judicial Office Holders (Salaries and Allowances, etc) Act 2008, as amended.

Prior to this appointment, Jami’u Abiola held the position of Special Assistant to the President on Special Duties in the Office of the Vice President.
In his new role, President Tinubu has tasked him with collaborating closely with the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs and leveraging his extensive experience to contribute to the success of his new assignment.
Jami’u is the son of the late business mogul and presumed winner of the 1993 presidential election, Chief M.K.O. Abiola.
