The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has issued a warning to job seekers, clarifying that there is no recruitment drive underway and urging the public to be cautious of fraudulent claims.
In a statement on Friday in Abuja, FRSC’s Corps Public Education Officer, Olusegun Ogungbemide, alerted potential applicants about recent scam attempts by fraudsters posing as recruiters.
“The attention of the FRSC has been drawn to misinformation circulating on online platforms, falsely claiming that there is ongoing recruitment in the Corps,” Ogungbemide explained. He emphasized that these recruitment scams are not authorized and urged the public to disregard any announcements suggesting otherwise.
Ogungbemide reiterated that any FRSC recruitment drive would be officially publicized through credible channels, including the FRSC website, social media accounts, and National Traffic Radio 107.1FM. Corps Marshal Malam Shehu Mohammed also advised the public to avoid engagement with these alleged scammers.

“The Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed wishes to admonish applicants seeking to join the services of the Corps, as well as the general public to disregard the fake and misleading publications.
“This is because recruitment processes in the Corps have always been transparent, credible and made public through adequate placement of advertorials and notifications on all available media platforms including our website; www.frsc.gov.ng, our social media handles, and the National Traffic Radio 107.1FM
“The public is by this publication warned to desist from any form of engagement with the purported scammers and purveyors of the misinformation as the Corps will not be liable should anyone fall victim,” the statement concluded.
“The FRSC will not be responsible for losses incurred by individuals who fall victim to these recruitment scams,” Ogungbemide warned, encouraging job seekers to stay informed and vigilant against such fraudulent schemes.
