The Emir of Ningi in Bauchi State, Alhaji Yunusa Muhammad Danyaya has passed on, aged 87.
The monarch died early Sunday morning in Kano, where he had been receiving treatment for age-related health conditions.

His death was announced in a statement by the Secretary of the Ningi Emirate, Alhaji Usman Sule. The Emir’s funeral prayer is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Emir’s Palace in Ningi. The Emir ruled for 46 years.
