A fire outbreak has gutted two churches and a furniture shop in Ibadan, Oyo State, according to the Oyo State Fire Service.
The fire, which occurred at No. 51, Debo Plaza, opposite Lam Adesina Junction, Felele, Ibadan, affected a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God and New Covenant Church, as well as a furniture shop. The General Manager of the Oyo State Fire Service, Yemi Akinyinka, confirmed the incident in a statement.

Akinyinka said: “Firefighters swiftly swung into action and prevented the fire from spreading to nearby buildings.”
He added that the fire mostly affected plastic chairs and PVC materials used for ceiling decorations, which were completely burnt.
