Sen. Natasha distributes food stuff to Kogi constituents

In a philanthropic move to alleviate the hardship faced by many Nigerians constituents in Kogi State, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduoghan has distributed six truck loads of 7, 200 bags of grains to her Kogi Central Constituents.

The initiative, spearheaded by the senator, aimed to provide essential sustenance to families grappling with economic challenges exacerbated by various factors including  fuel subsidy removal and inflation.

The grains, including rice, beans, and millet, were distributed to the 57 wards of the five local government areas of the senatorial district.

The five benefiting LGAs are Okene, Adavi, Okehi, Ajaokuta and Ogorimagongo.

The beneficiaries include Muslim and Christian communities, drivers’ union, Okada/Keke union, Mechanics union, pensioners, Hausa/Fulani and Yoruba communities.

Akpoti-Uduoghan said the good gesture was for all her constituents, irrespective of party affiliations to alleviate the prevailing economic hardship in the country.

“This is just my way of giving back to the people who voted me into office.

“It’s my resolve to continue to do my best to bring the very best dividends of democracy to you, my constituents, ” she said.

She reiterated her commitment to serving the people of the state and pledged to continue advocating for policies that promote socio-economic empowerment and well-being.

The gesture received widespread praise from beneficiaries and onlookers alike, with many expressing gratitude for the senator’s proactive approach in addressing pressing needs within the constituency.

The distribution of food supplies is expected to provide temporary relief to vulnerable households while also highlighting the importance of collective action in tackling food insecurity.
