Support me to eliminate insecurity from South West – Igboho tells Yoruba monarchs

Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Igboho and recognized as a Yoruba nation advocate, has issued a call to traditional leaders in the Southwest to unite with him in eliminating criminal activities and banditry from the area.

Igboho declared his readiness to collaborate closely with traditional rulers to effectively address and ultimately eradicate insecurity prevailing in the Southwest.

In a signed statement, he bemoaned that insecurity was to blame for the region’s death toll and farmer-herder issue.

“I welcome the idea and assure them that I will do my best to checkmate the incidence of insecurity, provided I receive the backing of the relevant security agencies, Yoruba monarchs, and other stakeholders.

“Insecurity and threats precipitated by banditry, herders/farmers clashes, leading to deaths and massive destruction of farmlands, have driven away farmers and agric entrepreneurs from farm settlements in Yorubaland.

“We need to flush out criminal elements, who have occupied our forests using the place as launch pads to jeopardize the peace in our communities, towns, villages, and amulets. I am ready to lend my support in this regard,” he said.
