The Kano State Hisbah Board on Monday arrested popular female TikToker, Murja Ibrahim Kunya,over alleged immorality.
The chairman, Operation ‘Kai da badala,’ who doubles as the Officer-in-charge of Surveillance, Aliyu Usman, confirming the news stated that Kunya was arrested after several hours of waiting at her residence in Tinshama area of the state.
“She is being charged with immoral acts which she is widely known for. There is someone who comes everyday to pick her up around 10pm and will return her by 12 midnight or 1am,” he said.
Aliyu added that Kunaya would be arraigned before a Shari’ah Court sitting at PRP on Tuesday.
Credible News reports that Hisbah Board had launched a manhunt for at least six famous Tiktok skit makers for allegedly posting vulgar videos on social media.
This is coming few months after the Commander-General of the board, Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa invited all female Tiktokers in Kano to a session where the board offered to rehabilitate and empower them with businesses and scholarships.
At the meeting, Sheikh Daurawa admonished all Tiktok and other social media entertainers to desist from posting contents capable of encouraging immorality in society.
