Police raid criminals’ hideout, arrest 27 in Lagos

Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad, RRS, of the police, Lagos State, have arrested 27 criminal suspects in the Agege and Oshodi areas of the state.

RRS confirmed the arrest in a statement posted on its official X handle, formally twitter, @rrsLagos767 on Saturday.

It disclosed that the suspects were arrested at about 11:00 p.m on Thursday.

“Our operatives, acting on credible intelligence and extensive surveillance of some notorious hideouts in Agege and Oshodi, arrested 27 suspects in an effort to minimise crime.

“The suspects consist of 25 males and two females.

“They were arrested in Agege Under bridge, Oke Koto, Akerele, Markaz, Tabon –Tabon, and Oshodi among others”, it stated.

The Commander of RRS, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, said that the squad is taking the fight to the criminals in their hideouts.

The RRS implied that, the suspects will be charged to court in line with the directives of Commissioner of Police Lagos, CP Adegoke Fayoade.
