Kano police warns against violent protests following Appeal Court’s verdict

The Kano State Police Command has issued a warning against any attempt by political party supporters to stage violent protests in the state following the Appeal Court‘s judgment on the governorship dispute.

The Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Usaini Gumel, delivered the warning through the Public Relations Officer, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, cautioning that individuals attempting to disrupt the peace would be arrested and face legal consequences.

The police have received credible information about plans by certain political groups to organize protests in response to the recent court verdict. The warning emphasizes adherence to the law and calls for residents to remain calm to maintain peace in the state.
