The late Dr. Mrs. Fumilola Adefolalu, a lecturer in the Department of Biochemistry at the School of Life Sciences, Federal University of Technology, Minna, is set to be laid to rest on Saturday.
A wake-keeping ceremony is scheduled for Friday at her residence in Gbaiko, Minna, with a solemn service at the Voice of Mercy Ministry in Nkangbe. The interment will take place at the Christian Cemetery on David Mark road in Minna.
Crediblenews had reported that, Dr. Adefolalu met a tragic end at the hands of her housemaid, Joy Afekafe, who, in a confession to the police, revealed that she, along with two boys, attacked and stabbed the lecturer multiple times, subsequently stealing her phone and laptop.
This brutal incident resulted in the tragic demise of Dr. Adefolalu.
Afekafe has been apprehended by the police, and investigations are ongoing.
The incident has left a community in shock, and the upcoming ceremonies aim to provide a somber yet respectful farewell to the deceased lecturer, offering solace to her family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.
