Adamawa workers yet to join NLC strike

In Adamawa State, civil servants defied the call for a nationwide strike by the Nigeria Labour Congress , NLC, reporting to work on Tuesday morning.

Government offices in the capital, Yola, were open between 8 am and 10 am, with employees engaged in their regular activities.

Upon inquiry, some civil servants stated that they had not received any specific instructions to abstain from work.

Despite the nationwide call for the strike, workers in Adamawa State carried on with their usual routines.

However, there were indications that the state branch of the NLC might still push for the strike later in the day. The Adamawa NLC leadership was reportedly in a meeting to finalize their decision on the matter. The situation in Adamawa State reflects the nuanced response to the nationwide strike call, with varying levels of compliance observed in different regions and sectors.
