The Chairman of the Rivers State chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Chijioke Ihunwo, and 120 others have been arraigned in a magistrate court in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
They faced charges including conspiracy, causing a riot, damaging the house gate of the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, unlawful assembly, and causing a breach of public peace.
All the accused pleaded not guilty. They were granted bail at the sum of ₦100,000 each, with 20 sureties providing verifiable addresses. The case was adjourned to December 5, 2023, for hearing.
