Tinubu returns NEMA, Hajj Commission to Vice President’s office

President Bola Tinubu has directed that the supervision of the National Emergency Management Agency and the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria be domiciled at the Office of the Vice President in compliance with their various establishment Acts.

The two agencies were previously supervised by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

The President has also approved a formal structure for the Office of the Vice President as well as an appropriate number of technical and administrative aides that will work with the Vice President in the discharge of his responsibilities.

Meanwhile, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr George Akume has clarified that National Drug Law Enforcement Agency and the National Drug and Food Administration and Control are exempted by the blanket dissolution of boards of agencies announced Monday by the Government.
