After spending six days with kidnappers, two siblings abducted at Mahuta in Igabi Local Government Area in Kaduna State have gained freedom.
Adamu Chonoko from the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and Umar Chonoko from Kaduna Polytechnic were kept as pawns for the kidnappers who raised their demand from N2m to N10m
However, on Sunday, spokesman for the Kebbi Indigenes Association in Kaduna State, Garba Muhammad, broke the news of the escape of the kidnapped siblings.
Garba disclosed that after paying additional N3 million as ransom, the kidnappers made a fresh demand of N10 million before they would release the lecturers.
The fresh demand was unmet until security agents rescued that the two lecturers.
