Respite may have come for the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Sanusi Lamido Sanusi with the fence mending moves intiated by Kano business mogul, Alhaji Aliko Dangote and the Ekiti State governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi.
The Chief Press Secretary to Gov Ganduje, Abba Anwar, gave the cheery news in a statement issued in Kano on Saturday after the emir and the governor met in Abuja at the instance of the two mediators.
According to him, the reconciliatory meeting was initiated by the Kano-born business mogul, Dangote and the Chairman of Nigeria’s Governors’ Forum, Dr. Fayemi.
Anwar said after the meeting, the two exchanged pleasantries with each other in Abuja on Friday.
“As the two leaders met, they congratulated each other for the successful completion of the Ramadan Fast and the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

The amount was said to have been misappropriated between 2014 and 2017.
The query was served on the emir on Wednesday but Chief of Staff to the emir, Munir Sanusi. He was asked to respond within 24 hours.
